The World Bank Director for Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Seychelles, Eastern and Southern Africa, Idah Z. Pswarayi-Riddihough, assured that that International Financial Institution will provide technical and financial support for the organization of the 2nd edition of the "Crescendo Azul" conferenceto take place next November, in Vilankulo, Inhambane province.

Idah Z. Pswarayi-Riddihough expressed this availability in the audience granted to him last week, by the Minister of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Augusta Maíta.

Also during the hearing, the parties reviewed the progress of the new projects under negotiation.

On the occasion, Pswarayi-Riddihough said that there is interest from the World Bank to continue supporting initiatives in the sector, particularly in the area of aquaculture.

The support of the World Bank joins that of the European Union, Great Britain, and Norway, and they guarantee their availability, during the presentation ceremony of the event, held Tuesday at the Museu do Mar, on the occasion of the celebrations of June 8th, World Oceans Day.
