On Wednesday (07), the presiding judge of the Maputo City Judicial Court, Gracinda Muiambo, swore in Razaque Manhique as the new Mayor. On the occasion, the mayor stressed that he will work to solve all the problems that ail the Mozambican capital.
The new promises (or old illusions regenerated?) for the next five years of governance in Maputo City:
Mobility and Transport in the City": make human dignity and comfort in transport a reality; organize the route system by type of transport; redefine and requalify bus terminals; eliminate route shortening; improve alternative access routes to the city. "It shouldn't be necessary to rush out to buy cars for leaders and staff while the population suffers every day at the bus stops".

Sport, culture, tourism and recreation: promoting sports activities in all the city's neighborhoods; promoting municipal fairs that are synergistic between culture and recreation; rescuing identity values through arts and culture
