Through the Council of Ministers, the government has approved a resolution appointing Augusta Maíta to the position of Executive Director of Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) - Mozambique, replacing Higino Marrule.

The decision was taken on Tuesday at the twelfth ordinary session of the Council of Ministers in Maputo.

Prior to this appointment, Augusta Maíta was the coordinator of the Economic Reforms Office (PAE) at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She was also director of the National Disaster Management Institute and Minister for the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries.
