The export of heavy sands from Chibuto, Gaza province, via the Chongoene dock, is scheduled to start next August.

According to "Notícias", the first phase of its construction for docking ships in this region of Gaza province is expected to be completed by then.

The dock's project manager, Yang Jiamping, was quoted by the newspaper as saying that the work was back to a satisfactory pace after being halted in December.

According to the source, the dock is divided into three phases, the first of which will be completed by August, giving way to the start of ore exports from Chibuto.

In total, the dock should be 200 meters and 80 centimeters long, with the capacity to export between six and eight million tons of ore a year.
