Alunos à deriva enquanto professores participam de campanha da Frelimo

Frelimo party candidate Daniel Chapo is campaigning in Inhambane province for the Presidency of the Republic. This Monday he visited the district of Maxixe.

Election observers from the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) found that state institutions, including public schools, were abandoned because the employees went to a rally led by Chapo.

These are schools in the districts of Morrumbene, Cidade de Inhambane, Homoíne, Massinga, Jangamo, Panda and Inharrime.

"Our correspondents in Homoíne visited a school in the town on Monday and found that the teachers had decided to cancel classes to support FRELIMO's presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo," we read.

The teachers' departure sparked outrage among students, parents and guardians, who felt helpless in the middle of the school term. Students and parents expressed their dissatisfaction and asked the teachers to prioritize their school duties instead of getting involved in political activities.
