Customs recover 90 million meticais for seizure of luxury cars

Mozambique Customs recovered 90 million meticais last year, following the seizure of 222 luxury cars across the country.

These means presented several irregularities related to their import process and illegal circulation in the national territory.

Of the 222 cars seized, 107 were seized in the southern region of the country, 25 in the central region, and 90 in the northern region.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Tax Authority of Mozambique, Fernando Tinga, quoted by Radio de Moçambique, warns that Customs will not tolerate flagrant cases of vehicles circulating with foreign license plates without the proper requirements.
