ADIN anuncia 6M$ para projectos de desenvolvimento em Cabo Delgado, Niassa e Nampula

The Northern Integrated Development Agency (ADIN) has just allocated more funds for social and economic development projects in the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Nampula..

This is a total of six million dollars, which will go to ActionAid Mozambique, Associação de Apoio e Assistência Jurídica às Comunidades, Fundação Mecanismo de Apoio à Sociedade Civil, Associação Kuendeleya, Fundação Nunisa and Conselho Cristão de Moçambique.

Speaking yesterday, Tuesday (11), in Maputo, during the signing of the financing contracts, the president of ADIN's Executive Committee, Jacinto Loureiro, explained that each organization will receive one million dollars as a donation to carry out projects to generate employment, youth occupation, social infrastructure and livelihoods for the population in the north of the country.

"This project, which began in 2023, aims to mitigate the effects of terrorism in the north of the country, and in this first phase is valued at 12 million dollars, of which four have already been made available. Today we are disbursing another six to the implementing institutions," Loureiro explained.

Quoted by NewsThe source also added that the results of the projects already funded are visible and are reflected in the mitigation of the effects of terrorism and the integration of young people into different income-generating and recreational activities.

"The organizations involved in this process are doing a good job; we have seen in the districts and localities the effects of different initiatives that translate into the empowerment of young people and women," he stressed.

In this regard, Jacinto Loureiro assured that 67 infrastructures will be inaugurated this quarter, out of a total of 200 to be built this year, with emphasis on schools, health units, roads, water fountains, among others destroyed by the terrorists.
