The election results released by the Provincial Electoral Commissions (CPE) throughout the country are fraudulent, according to the Mais Integridade Electoral Consortium.

According to the Director of Mais Integridade, Edson Cortês, the data released by the CPE is out of line with the notices in the observers' possession, and does not reflect the will of the voters.

"Once again, as a country, we have held fraudulent elections that do not reflect, at least as far as we have seen, the will of the voters," he said.

Speaking today in Maputo, on the occasion of the elections, Cortês said that the consortium has possession of the original public notices.

"What we saw being counted and what the public notices said the next day were totally different things," he said, noting that the situation makes it difficult for observers to present the results derived from the public notice counts. "Most of the notices have hammered out results".

For the consortium, which observed around 1,500 polling stations, the Attorney General's Office should prevent the legitimization of the fraud based on the documents in the possession of the observers.

"Our appeal is for the prosecutor's office to look at the various electoral offenses that not only Mais Integridade, but also the social networks, have presented, but it seems to us that it does nothing and is more concerned with one candidate rather than the electoral offenses that, by going after these offenses, may serve as a lesson for the next elections," he noted.
