A total of 76 companies from the province of Manica have already confirmed their participation in the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair - FACIM 2024, at the Ricatla International Fairs and Exhibitions Center, located in the district of Marracuene, in the southern province of Maputo.
For the event taking place from August 26 to September 1, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX), 15 of the Manica companies will be at FACIM in person and 61 will send their products to be exhibited in the province's pavilion.
Speaking this Monday (05), during an agribusiness fair aimed at assessing the level of preparation for the province's participation in FACIM, the governor of Manica, Francisca Tomás, challenged economic agents to strengthen cooperation and business associations in order to attract more investment to that region of the country.
Quoted by AIMIn her speech, the minister acknowledged the determination of the exhibitors from small, medium and large companies who, despite various constraints, continue to do business, believing in and investing in improving the quality of their products and services.
"Even in the face of the economic crisis affecting the country and the world, our economic agents believe in better days. They grow stronger every day and seek to improve the quality of their products, using quality packaging and modern technologies, in order to obtain products with quality and certification according to international standards," said the governor.
The companies that will be representing the province of Manica at this year's FACIM are from the mining, agriculture, handicrafts and agro-processing sectors, with a variety of processed and export products, such as litchi, avocado and macadamia.
Taking place under the slogan "Industrialization: Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy", this edition will showcase the country's potential for production and exports, as well as promoting business and investment opportunities in the various segments of economic activity.
