More than 180 companies and cooperatives from Cabo Delgado province have confirmed their participation in the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair - FACIM 2024, at the Ricatla International Fairs and Exhibitions Center, located in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province, in the south of the country.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX), will take place from August 26 to September 1.

According to the head of the Department of Commerce in Cabo Delgado, Ema Jamissse, preparations are well underway and all 17 districts in the province are already organizing themselves to exhibit their products and services.

"It's all the other way around, we have 180 companies taking part, some of them will be there physically or in person and others will be sending products," she said, quoted by the local portal Zumbo FM News.

The Fair, according to the government, is a platform for exchange and cooperation and will have a range of activities including exhibitions, seminars, promotion sessions and contact exchanges.

Taking place under the slogan "Industrialization: Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy", this edition will showcase the country's potential for production and exports, as well as promoting business and investment opportunities in the various segments of economic activity.
