From yesterday until Friday (31), Mozambique is taking part in the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Development Fund (ADF) in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. The Mozambican delegation is led by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala.
These meetings are an opportunity to share experiences on public debt management, climate finance and the high cost of capital to invest in sustainable infrastructures for green growth and a just energy transition.
Joaquim Chissano, former President of the Republic, will be a special guest at the High-Level Presidential Dialogue to be held on May 29 under the slogan "Africa's transformation: the AfDB group and the reform of the global financial architecture".
At the event, Mateus Magala is expected to speak on the role of the AfDB in the global financial architecture and the mobilization of accessible, predictable and long-term financial resources.
