Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) is setting up teams in different areas of the state-owned company to work on the restructuring of the company, whose management has been supported since Tuesday by the consultancy Fly Modern Ark (FMA).

"Since April 18, the management of our flag carrier has been supported by an international consultancy firm, FMA-Fly Modern Ark," reads a statement released today by LAM, in line with the announcement made on Tuesday by the Minister of Transport, Mateus Magala.

Today's press release provides a few more details, stressing that the aim is to "restructure the company, improving its efficiency".

"To this end, work teams are being set up in the different areas in order to come up with solutions for making decisions that will add value to the company," the document states.

The teams will work "on developing measures focused on reducing costs, stabilizing operations and increasing revenue," he concludes. (News)
