"We are working to bring the brightness of Mocímboa da Praia" - Nyusi

The President of the Republic (PR) said today in the town of Palma, Cabo Delgado that the Executive is making efforts to reestablish peace in the province, with special attention to that district devastated by terrorists.

"We are working to bring back the glow of Mocímboa, pleasant, where we all fish and at the end of the day celebrate, where young people dance, play and study. All this, in succession," said the PR, assuring that with the work in progress this will happen.

The President also praised the work of the Mozambique Defense and Security Forces, the SADC joint force, and the Rwandan forces in the fight against terrorism.

"The terrorist was displaced from Mocímboa da Praia thanks to the efforts of the [military] youth. And the [terrorist] was also displaced in Palma, where he couldn't stay. But the most important thing is that this battle is not over," he said.

Speaking at the opening of the 2022/23 agricultural campaign and the symbolic delivery of 25,000 kilos of agricultural inputs in the town of Nango, Nyusi said that this support is intended for displaced families, but that it will also benefit others.

"There are many [people] who have not left and those people also need that support and we are going to do that. The delivery to 200 producers who will represent the universe of 25,000 families," he said, quoted by RM.

The PR urged producers to work in the best way that they can take advantage of the material allocated today.
