US provides 4M$ for HIV/AIDS response project in the Center region

The United States of America (USA), will disburse four million dollars, to finance projects of support to adolescents and young people, in the central provinces of the country.

The amount will be disbursed annually by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and will be directed to HIV/AIDS prevention programs.

In the province of Tete, the districts of Moatize, Chiúta and Tete are listed for the implementation of this project, regions with worrying indicators of this viral disease.

The information was shared, this Tuesday in Tete city, by Albertino Atanásio, program manager of the National Association for Self-Sustained Development (ANDA), the entity implementing the project in the central zone of the country

The five-year HIV/AIDS response project in the central region of the country, in addition to children and adolescents, also covers female sex workers.
