According to data published by African Markets, Nigeria is currently the largest African economy with $514.5 billion GDP.
Egypt, a North African country has the second largest GDP in Africa with $394.28 billion.
South Africa, a country in the southern region, had the third largest economy in Africa, according to the MA, with a GDP of 329.53 billion.
Algeria appears as the fourth largest in Africa with a GDP of $151.56 billion.
Next is Morocco, with the fifth largest GDP on the African Continent, $124 billion.
Kenya, the only Country in the East African region that made it into the top ten list, appears as the sixth largest economy in Africa. It has a GDP of $106.04 billion.
Ethiopia, this is the only Horn of Africa country that made it onto this list, comes in at seventh, with a GDP of $93.97 billion.
Ghana, comes in as eighth, with a GDP of $74.26 billion.
Ivory Coast: This French-speaking West African country has the ninth largest GDP in Africa at 70.99 billion.
Angola: With a GDP of 66.49 billion, it closes the list of the continent's 10 largest countries.
