The province of Manica, exhibits today its potentialities in agriculture and mining, in the first international conference of investment and development.
This is an event that will bring together several countries, such as South Africa, Cuba, England, Portugal, and Italy.
According to the Secretary of State for Manica, Edson Macuacua, the conference will publicize the potential for investment in the province, and he hopes that "new agricultural ventures" will be born and partnerships between local and foreign companies that will result in more jobs.
"We are in a corridor with access to countries in the interior" of Africa, Macuacua said, pointing to the excellent geostrategic and agro-geological position as crucial for the "diversification of the economy in agriculture, mining, forestry and wildlife, tourism, and transport and communications."
For the governor of Manica, Francisca Tomás, the new investments, especially in the agricultural sector, can ensure the transformation and modernization of production in the sector and stimulate trade, which will allow a greater flow of agricultural products to the market.
