Absa Bank reopens its bank branch in Chimoio

Absa Bank Moçambique inaugurated last Friday a new branch model in the city of Chimoio, Manica Provincewith a new image and organization.

The new branch opened in that city is part of the reinforcement of proximity to customers and the bet on technology, aiming to give a new operational dynamics in the organizational structure. "The objective is to serve you in a consistent, proactive and closer way," says the bank.

According to the Director of Retail Banking and Business of Absa Bank Mozambique, Pedro Carvalho, the venture will allow the bank to support the country in relaunching the economy through the empowerment of local businessmen.

"We are working in coordination with local economic agents, in order to take our services to all the districts of the province, through partnerships with entities that are already on the ground and together contribute to the economy of this country," Carvalho said.

For the director of the Bank of Mozambique, Chimoio branch, Maria Majimeja, the reopening of the branch will serve as an incentive to attract more credit institutions to Manica and, similarly, to other districts that still lack the physical presence of financial services.
