A citizen was seriously wounded by the police of the Republic of Mozambique after being hit in the head by a bullet from a single shot. The victim's current state of health is unknown.

The citizen was shot as the police tried to disperse demonstrators who were seeking shelter by passing through an alley where the PRM's war wagon could not gain access.

The case took place this afternoon in the Maxaquene neighborhood, close to the epicenter of the protests in Maputo city.

So far, it is not known whether the citizen was hit by real bullets or not. But as a video in our possession shows, the police used real bullets to disperse the demonstrators.
