Venâncio Mondlane promises inclusive governance to the electorate of Zambézia

Venâncio Mondlane promete governação inclusiva ao eleitorado da Zambézia

The presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, promises to favor inclusive governance based on the de-partisanship of the state, through the separation of powers between the legislative, executive and judiciary, if he wins the elections next October.

Mondlane says that a massive vote on his election manifesto on October 9 is necessary for his ambition to be realized.

The promise of the candidate supported by the extra-parliamentary party, PODEMOS (Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique), was expressed on Friday (30) at an election campaign rally in Campo de Chirangano, in Quelimane, the capital of the central province of Zambézia.

"In the government of Venâncio Mondlane and Podemos there will be inclusion of everyone, regardless of party color, and [everyone] will have space for collective action for a prosperous country," he said, quoted by AIM, stressing that it is necessary to bet on the separation of powers so that there is no one party that owns the state. "The state belongs to all of us.

Venâncio Mondlane's candidacy has the support of PODEMOS in partnership with the Democratic Alliance Coalition (CAD), the latter excluded from the legislative and provincial assembly elections.

"We no longer want a country that claims to be ours. Right here in Quelimane we have seen serious problems with the sanitation of the environment, so the time has come to wrest this Mozambique that was in their hands and give it back to all Mozambicans," said Mondlane, before adding that: "my people, the time has come for each province to feel the impact of the resources and wealth it has at its disposal".

Mondlane said that the time had come to put an end to the use of short-handled hoes, so that the Mozambican people could have agriculture as their primary source of development.

According to him, his government, which will be supported by PODEMOS, in the Assembly of the Republic (AR), the parliament, envisages a proposal for Mozambique, taking into account that the population has the capacity to farm using technology.

Mondlane said that synergies need to be combined so that every Mozambican begins to feel the impact of the riches of their land on their lives.

In Zambezia, Mondlane plans to hold rallies in the districts of Morrumbala, Pebane, Milange, Molumbo, Gurué, Ile and Alto Molocue. However, atmospheric issues, such as the rain that was felt from the early hours of Saturday in the city of Quelimane, forced the Podemos party to cancel the launch of the pro-Venâncio Mondlane marathon.
