Venâncio Mondlane is no longer a member of Renamo and a deputy of this party in the Assembly of the Republic.

In a letter to the Party and Parliament, the politician explains that the decision is the result of "a deep awareness of the need to seek more efficient means and a favorable political sphere to continue his fight for the defense of democracy and the struggle for the free exercise of patriotic duties".

Venâncio Mondlane had been a member of the Renamo party since June 2018, after resigning from the MDM party.

In Renamo, Venancio Mondlane was a very prominent politician. Irreverent, throughout his six years of militancy, he held various positions, the most important of which was that of political advisor to the president of Renamo, Ossufo Momade.

Mondlane is leaving Renamo after filing several lawsuits against the party and President Ossufo Momade.
