Former presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane "fled" to South Africa this morning, according to political analyst Dércio Alfazema.
Speaking to Success TVMondlane presented a video, to which we had access, showing Mondlane introducing himself to airport agents.
This comes at a time when Mondlane, according to his advisors, has suffered a assassination attempt in Maputo. But he is also expected at the Attorney General's Office next Monday to be heard about the post-election damage.
For the analyst, this "escape" by the former presidential candidate demonstrates his manipulative character of the masses and his full awareness of the acts to which he must answer before national justice bodies.
"There is clear information that reinforces, once again, the idea of the manipulative intent and the clarity that Venâncio has in the face of all these situations that have been happening. There is information and videos that show that Venâncio Mondlane is currently on the run. He's fleeing to South Africa," said Alfazema, who was unaware of his final destination.
"Today, Friday, March 7, Venâncio was at the airport and took a plane to South Africa," he said.
Alfazema noted that Mondlane's departure, supposedly abroad, was intentional, considering that "wherever he goes he always wants to attract attention, blowing whistles and playing songs. But you'll notice that this escape is highly silent".
