A businesswoman and owner of a commercial establishment located on Avenida Karl Max was kidnapped a few hours ago by individuals still at large in the city of Maputo as she was on her way to work.

According to witnesses at the scene, it all happened when the businesswoman was driving to another day's work, when two heavily armed men approached her and immediately kidnapped her.

The Police of the Republic of Mozambique are already at the scene to investigate and gather information to clarify the case.

The latest figures from the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) indicate that the kidnapping took place at around 5 a.m. on Karla Max Avenue, just a few meters from his business. The victim was accompanied by two of his employees.
