The President of the Republic (PR), Filipe Nyusi, has scheduled a meeting with the four presidential candidates for next Tuesday (November 26).

According to a document from the Presidency of the Republic, the meeting has a single agenda: "to discuss the situation of the country in the post-election period".

The event is due to take place at the Office of the President of the Republic, starting at 4pm in Maputo.

The letter 104/PR/MPACC/113/2024, whose subject is "invitation to a meeting", was issued yesterday, stamped with a white seal and signed by the Minister of the Presidency for Civil House Affairs, Constantino Bacela.

The document, a copy of which we have had access to, is addressed to Venâncio Mondlane.

Mondlane expressed his acceptance of the invitation from the President of the Republic, but did not say whether he would participate virtually or in person.
