European Union (EU) election observers claim that some election results have been tampered with in Mozambique, at a time when unrest in the country continues to grow.

Evidence was found of "irregularities during the counting and unjustified alteration of election results at polling station and district level," the EU observer mission said in a statement on Tuesday.
