Sporting Clube de Portugal coach Ruben Amorim can no longer hide his love for the charms of Mozambican left-winger Geny Catamo.

The international is increasingly proving to be a high-performance player on the pitch. Although he's strong with his left foot, it's on the right wing where he's making his mark.

From a player who wasn't even an option and was on loan, Geny Catamo is now becoming indispensable to the first team. In Sporting's last win (3-2) against Vizela, Catamo came into the starting lineup and was substituted in the second half, and the green and white coach commented:

"He often joins the defensive line, but he usually plays on the wing. I took him off because he was tired and because I wanted more control of the game. I really liked his display, he's much more grown up. It's good for players to rotate, even if they don't play much, to gain maturity. We'll improve him even more," said Amorim, without hiding his satisfaction, during a press conference at the end of the match.
