Transitex provides support to the Oil and Gas sector in Mozambique

Transitex disponibiliza suporte ao sector de Petróleo e Gás em Moçambique

Transitex, a logistics operator and freight forwarder specialized in international door-to-door cargo transportation, intends to put its experience in the transportation area at the service of the Oil and Gas sector in Mozambique, which may become the main producer and exporter of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Africa.

A member of Yilport, one of the largest operators of container ports and terminals in the world, Transitex is a strategic partner for deliveries of this important energy resource in Asian and European markets, such as Turkey, Nordic terminals and the Iberian Peninsula.

Edel Mirco, commercial manager for the Northern Zone of Mozambique, says that the company can also intervene in the mobilization of machinery in all regimes, temporary and definitive, as well as assist in the processes of acquisition of replacement materials and equipment repair, from transport with pick-ups at origin to customs clearance in all parts of the country.

Meanwhile, because Mozambique stands out in the region through its ports, Transitex is involved in the transportation of ferro-chrome and coal from Mpumalanga, in South Africa, to the Port of Maputo, using a fleet of 40 trucks.

Transitex also mentions that "soon, it will be working on a project to extract and export lithium, a substance that is in high demand in the world market for the manufacture of batteries for electric cars and machines. These are resistant and less polluting batteries, and therefore environmentally friendly," added Edel Mico.
