The terrorists carried out two more attacks and killed, by beheading, three people, all males, in the districts of Meluco and Macomia, in central Cabo Delgado, reports Carta.

According to the "Carta" the two attacks happened last Friday, the first in the morning, in the fields of Ntapuala village, about seven kilometers from Macomia-sede.

The victim was a farmer, and in the morning he went to his farm, where he came across the group, and was decapitated, his head placed in a ten-liter bucket and left in the farm field.

His body was discovered by a group of young men who had been invited by the victim the day before to work in his farm.

After communicating the FDS and Local Forces, it was possible to recover and bury the body of the victim, incidentally a displaced person from the Mucojo administrative post.

The "Carta" also refers that another attack was registered in a region between the villages Koko (Macomia) and Nangololo (Meluco), about four kilometers from the latter village, where a victim who had been cutting bamboo crossed paths with the group, probably coming from Quissanga, and was then beheaded. The victim was a farmer and was found preparing a traditional sugarcane-based drink. 

Cabo Delgado province has been terrorized since 2017 by armed violence, with some attacks claimed by the extremist group Islamic State.
