Tempus Global Group conducted the first National Human Capital Management and Benefits Survey in Mozambique, reflecting the perspective of Human Resources leaders. The study involved 140 organizations from the public (4%), private (72%) and non-governmental organizations (24%) sectors present throughout the country.
This is an innovative and unprecedented survey in the country, which aims to help companies and organizations to update trends and invest in best practices. This, in order to meet the expectations of the labor market, becoming more competitive and with a greater capacity to capitalize on talent.
As a result of this research, Tempus Global Group created the Elite Employer program, designed to recognize organizations that stand out as a great place to work in Mozambique. This will be the first time that a program of this kind will take place in the national territory, counting on an annual event - "Gala Dinner" - to recognize the eligible organizations.
Information related to the type of benefits available (insurance, pensions, vacations, etc.) and the development of employees through internal policies that allow the growth and development of the human capital potential within the organization (internal communication guidelines, investment in training programs, insertion of minorities within the organization, internal complaint procedures, etc.) will be considered.
The scoring system is divided among the four pillars of the survey: Compensation and Benefits; Work Environment; Career; and Culture.
Tempus Global Group also highlights the fact that the National Human Capital Management and Benefits Survey, conducted last year, had the general objective of developing a set of data for bibliographic representation of the human capital management strategy at the local level, so that human resources professionals can make decisions based on real data. From this data, updated, it is possible for this sector to make a reflection about the value proposition to the employee.
The survey highlights an important fact that health insurance is the most common benefit among the 140 organizations participating in the study. Only 10% does not offer that added value to its employees.
In this project, Tempus Global Group counted with the partnership of Hollard-Cigna, Uni-Health, Sanlam, Imperial Seguros and Club of Mozambique.
Tempus Global Group also highlights the level of involvement of the participating organizations with their employees, classifying it as quite significant. Therefore, it considers the results a good starting point to create a program (Elite Employer) so that all organizations continue to develop internal policies that may contribute to the well-being of their employees.
