CDE and STAE technicians demand allowances and 13th salary

Técnicos da CDE e do STAE exigem subsídios e 13º salário

Technical members of the District Electoral Commission (CDE) and the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE), from political parties in Manica, are demanding the payment of three months' allowances and the 13th salary.

As a result of the contractors' failure to comply with the pay agreement, the protesters say they are experiencing difficulties in ensuring the sustainability of their families.

The missing amounts refer to the months of October, November and December 2024, and the group says that the responses to their demands have been vague.

"We want our subsidies, because we work well. We have families to take care of," said the group's spokesman, Alfa José, quoted by News.

The STAE recognizes the legitimacy of the complaints and says that this is a general problem in the country that needs to be addressed by the finance sector.

"We don't have a date set for the payment of the subsidies," said the provincial director of STAE, Luciano José.
