TAAG increases flight frequencies to Maputo

TAAG - Linhas Aéreas de Angola will increase its commercial flights to Maputo (MPM), with five flights to the Mozambican capital, namely on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, a company source said.

This comes as part of an increase in regional and domestic flights that TAAG is implementing, writes Prestígio magazine quoting a statement from the company.

According to the same note, the increase in the number of frequencies to Mozambique, Namibia, the Republic of Congo and São Tomé should begin on December 11, 2023.

The increase in flights to Ponta Negra, Windhoek and Maputo is justified by the fact that these regional destinations have seen significant growth in market demand, and are even preferred routes for the corporate segment, leisure destinations and traffic from Portuguese-speaking countries.

According to TAAG, Windhoek (WDH) will now have daily flights, Ponta-Negra (PNR) and São Tomé (TMS) will have flights on Mondays and Fridays, while Maputo (MPM) will have five flights.

Domestically, TAAG has increased its frequencies to the city of Lubango, in the province of Huíla, which, as a result of this operation, now has twice-weekly flights on Thursdays, making a total of nine weekly frequencies.
