The National Electoral Commission (CNE) foresees constraints in the voter registration process in Cabo Delgado, due to the suspension of the rental of 21 vehicles valued at 88 million meticais.
The President of the CNE, Carlos Matsinhe, said that so far the process had been going smoothly because at the time of the suspension the materials had already been transported to the voter registration offices.
"We're going to see from the province itself and from the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration how we can find solutions with the government," he said, quoted by the newspaper. News.
The contract to rent 21 vehicles for 88 million meticais was suspended on May 5 by the National Directorate of State Assets of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, because it considered the amount to be too high.
