The National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction (INGD) updated the death toll to 45 after Cyclone Chido passed through the north of the country over the weekend.
According to the bulletin released on Wednesday (18), Cyclone Chido caused at least 45 deaths and more than 500 injuries in the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Niassa.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the National Meteorological Institute (INAM) said that Cyclone Chido no longer poses a danger to Mozambique and could move inland to Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, weak to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in some districts of Manica and Tete provinces.
