The Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE) admits that Sofala province may fail to meet the target for voter registration, which has been underway for over a month and ends on June 3.

The provincial director of STAE in Sofala, Jorge Donquene, was quoted by RM as saying that despite the reinforcement of computer equipment at the census offices with the highest turnout, there is less chance of the plan being fully implemented.

It should be noted that so far, more than six hundred thousand potential voters have registered in Sofala province, out of around nine hundred and forty thousand expected, according to STAE.
