The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) presented today, Friday (22), in Maputo, a national citizen arrested on suspicion of involvement in two cases of kidnapping that took place on August 5 and October 29 of this year.

The arrest comes after the kidnap victims were rescued on November 13 in the municipality of Matola-Rio, Maputo province, following ongoing investigations.

According to Hilário Lole, SERNIC's spokesman, quoted by NewsHe added that the arrest was the result of ongoing efforts to combat the phenomenon of kidnappings and ensure that those involved are held accountable. "We are continuing to investigate in order to identify all the elements linked to these crimes," he said.
