The trial of the Hidden Debts case resumes today

The trial of the case Hidden Debts resumes today, Monday, in the Maximum Security Prison, known as B.O, in Matola, Maputo province.

The resumption comes after about a month's hiatus, following the discovery of some covid-19 positive cases.

It is an interruption that served for procedural consultation, given the proximity of the closing arguments in the trial process.

In resuming the proceedings, the defendant Zulficar Ahmad is scheduled to be questioned for the second time this Monday, at his request. On the same day, the declarant Imiran Ahmad and finally the declarant Osman Mahomed will also be heard for the second time.

According to the calendar published by the VI Section of the Judicial Court of the city of Maputo, and in possession of Radio Mozambique, for January 18, that is Tuesday, the hearings of the declarants Hafiz Muhammad Tarik and Alexandre Chivale are scheduled.

The hearings of the declarants will continue until February 17th, the day on which the Sixth Section of the Maputo City Judicial Court is scheduled to hear former President of the Republic Armando Guebuza.
