Electrical connection restored to the district of Marromeu, in Sofala

The electricity connection to the district of Marromeu, in Sofala, has been re-established after the cut caused by the passage of tropical storm Ana.

This brings to an end the blackout, which lasted 11 days, the time needed to erect an emergency electricity tower to replace the one knocked down by the storm.

The power supply is assured by a line that starts from the Luabo substation, in Zambezia province, as explained by the spokesperson of the Council of State Representation Services in Sofala, Octávio Chicoco, at the end of the first session of the ordinary body extended to the district administrators.

The meeting also reviewed the situation of assistance to some 8500 families affected by tropical storm Ana in Sofala.

The spokesperson for the first session of the Council of Provincial Services of State Representation in Sofala, Octávio Chicoco, informed that more than 250 kilometers of roads remain impassable because of the rains.
