Police officers from the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) fired lethal bullets and tear gas today at family members and friends of the late the late 'blogger' Albino "Shottas" Sibia, as they returned from their "last goodbye"in the Ressano Garcia cemetery.
At the time, a trailer truck had already blocked other vehicles and goods in both directions of the road.
This PRM action resulted in the death of at least two people. Against one of the victims police allegedly fired more than six shots. A video shows the body being taken to the local hospital morgue.
"The data I have is from that young man I just showed you. He lost his life. The police shot him more than six times. He couldn't take it and lost his life. More than six shots at a defenseless man," lamented the person capturing the images. He went on to say that several people were injured and "lying on the road".
A video showed the moment when the police shot at people. Without being able to show it due to the distance, the person capturing the images said that at least one person was shot. He was under a truck.
"Those g*jos are shooting to kill... They killed someone over there... It was in the head... I saw it... We saw the one who was on the ground" several people are heard saying.
Another video refers to the shooting of a citizen of Ressano Garcia, identified as Zacarias. The victim is heard to have fallen.
In the featured image, people and PRM officers load a body into the back of the vehicle and take it to the local hospital.
We haven't ascertained whether these are different cases.
