According to witnesses, quoted by Evidence newspaperAt around 4 p.m., the kidnappers posed as customers to get their way, and when they entered the store, which manufactures and sells aluminum windows and doors, they ordered the employees and the wife of the Chinese businessman to lie down on the floor.

The criminals, who are still at large, used a Toyota Ractis to take the Chinese businessman to an unknown location.

After the kidnappers fled, the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM), assigned to the Seventh Police Station, were called in and are currently at the Chinese store carrying out searches.
