Another Asian businessman was kidnapped this morning in front of the Terminus Hotel in Maputo city. The kidnapped citizen is the son of one of the owners of United Center.

According to witnesses, the man was about to get out of his vehicle when he was approached and forced into the car.

Meanwhile, in a NewsThe spokeswoman for the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM) in Maputo city, Marta Pereira, confirmed what had happened and promised to give more details in the next few hours.

A few days ago, the National Criminal Investigation Service and the PRM dismantled two homes suspected of being used as captives for kidnapped people.

This is yet another kidnapping in the Mozambican capital, almost three weeks after a Mozambican citizen of Asian origin was ambushed as he was leaving a commercial establishment on Avenida Eduardo Mondlane, in the Alto-Maé neighborhood.

The victim is the son of the owner of the Luxo Brinde establishment located near Fashion World, a clothing and footwear store in Maputo city center.
