The national soccer team left the country's capital this Sunday for the Egyptian city of Cairo, where they will face their Ugandan counterparts next Thursday in the first round of group G in the African qualifying zone for the 2026 World Cup.
According to Rádio Moçambique, this Sunday the players who play domestically and were called up by Chiquinho Conde will leave Maputo for the double operation that will not include the experienced Mexer and Dominguês.
In fact, the Mambas will have a new captain for these two matches, as the two main players are off Chiquinho Conde's books for the clashes against Uganda and Algeria.
After the game with Uganda, the Mambas will travel to Algeria where they will face this team on the 25th of this month. It should be noted that the two teams share the lead with nine points after four games.
