Despite the grain export crisis in major food markets due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, there will be no food shortages during the festive season. 

The assurance was given by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, yesterday, Thursday, to journalists, during the intersectoral meeting for preparation and monitoring of the upcoming festive season.

Silvino Moreno highlights the good production of essential products this year at a national level, having contributed to the market being supplied to meet the needs of the Christmas and New Year's Eve parties.

"We don't foresee any kind of shortage this holiday season. There are products at the national level, there is chicken, fish, eggs, rice, beans, there is everything. Fortunately the national production was good this year and we don't have any stock-outs problems for any kind of product nationally," he said.

The inter-sectoral meetings for preparation and monitoring of the festive season that began today will take place every two weeks until the period of transition festivities of the year
