Mozambican 54-57kg boxer Armando Sigaúque is through to the semi-finals of the African Boxing Championships taking place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, after beating Amzolele Dyeyi of South Africa this Wednesday by unanimous decision (5-0)..

As well as reaching the "semi-finals", Sigaúque guaranteed at least a podium finish, bringing the number of medals Mozambique has already won in this competition to eight.

The Mozambican boxers are looking to defend their title as African champions, which they won last year in Maputo.
