Four wells will be drilled this year to explore for hydrocarbons in Mozambique, according to an official source.
Two of the wells will be drilled in the Angoche region, one in the Búzi area and the other in the PT5-C area operated by Sasol, a source at the National Oil Institute (INP) told "Notícias".
This will be the second time in almost a year that drilling has been carried out in Angoche. Last year, Eni drilled a borehole which had negative results, but it was later concluded that it needed to be evaluated.
"In this context, complementary studies are being carried out by the operator, who has already expressed an interest in extending the time for activities in order to complete the work program," the source explained. (News)
