Prime Minister participates in 3 African Union Summits

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleine, is participating today and tomorrow in three summits of the African Union, representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi. The summits will take place in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.

This is the Fifteenth ordinary session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government on humanitarian affairs. Also the Donors' Conference and the extraordinary sixteenth session of the Heads of State and Government on terrorism and unconstitutional changes of government in Africa, says a ministerial communiqué.

According to a statement from the prime minister's office, the three summits are being held under an African Union decision adopted by the thirty-fifth ordinary session of the African Union Heads of State and Government held last February in Ethiopia,

The Prime Minister is accompanied at the three summits in Malabo by the Minister of National Defense, Cristóvão Chume, by the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, and by the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the African Union.
