The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, went, this Saturday, to the Republic of Angola, to take part in the funeral of José Eduardo dos Santos, former President of that country, who lost his life last July 8, 2022 in Barcelona, Spain, victim of disease.

José Eduardo dos Santos was President of the Republic of Angola from 1979 to 2017, and is also one of the founders of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

On this trip, President Nyusi is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo Ndlovo, officials from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
