The head of the Mozambican state, Filipe Nyusi, declared this Wednesday that 2022 will be decisive in the fight against terrorism. It is known that Cabo Delgado Province has been the target of terrorist attacks since October 2017.

The year 2022 must be decisive in this fight," stressed Filipe Nyusi, who demanded that the military forces involved in fighting terrorism in Cabo Delgado, capture or physically eliminate the leaders of the terrorists.

"You know where those people are who are bothering you, don't waste your time with peanuts" emphasized the Mozambican President, adding that "the enemy is in stampede, due to the persecution of our forces".

The statements were made as commander-in-chief of the Defense and Security Forces, during a visit to a military barracks in Mueda district, Cabo Delgado.

The Head of State underlined that the displaced return to the areas of origin depend mainly on the work being done by the army.
