The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has announced the widening of the Marracuene-Xai-Xai section of National Road Number One, for an extension of around 180 kilometers.

The Head of State, who was taking stock of his six-day visit to the Asian country in Beijing, also announced the rehabilitation of the Lúrio-Metoro-Pemba stretch of the river, which is considered strategic.

Quoted by Rádio Moçambique, President Nyusi said that the work on these roads would be carried out by CRBC.

On the occasion, Filipe Nyusi also announced Mozambique's invitation to take part in EXPO Shanghai next month.
