The ambassador of Portugal in Mozambique, Costa Moura, announced this Thursday, that his country will start with a program to train young Mozambicans in humanitarian assistance in Cabo Delgado, as part of efforts to combat terrorism in that northern province of the country.
Costa Moura, who was speaking during the Conference of Dialogue for the Resolution of the Conflict in Cabo Delgado, held in Maputo, with the participation of several ambassadors and representatives of several organizations of the civil society, said that the action aims at bringing changes and a quick economic recovery of the areas affected by terrorism.
"We are seriously involved in a program that will cover several hundred in the area of technical training of specialists, including mechanical turners, among many other specialties," the ambassador assured.
The conference aimed to discuss the situation in Cabo Delgado, especially ways to resolve the conflict and provide greater assistance to the victims of violence, in particular the displaced people who are in various reception centers.
