Yesterday, a group of people invaded the luxurious property of former Frelimo Secretary General Roque Silva, in the district of Bilene, Gaza province, to "enjoy" his swimming pool and other leisure activities.

The infrastructure of the senior Frelimo cadre is inside a fence of more than a thousand meters.

The people, in their dozens, climbed onto the property without any fear of being impeded by the Mozambique Republic Police guardhouse, which, in fact, showed no signs of repression.

A citizen interviewed by Success TV said that no citizen of Bilene works on Roque Silva's property.

"Nobody from Bilene works here. He takes our space and even hires people from outside to work here," he said.

Another citizen said that this attitude was a form of protest at the fact that they were consuming unhealthy water, since clean water is blocked on Roque Silva's property.

"The water is blocked in here, which is why it comes out dirty. We want clean, healthy drinking water. We drink dirty water, and we always have stomach problems because of that water," he said.

Roque Silva is currently the Non-Executive Director of Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa.
