No one enters or leaves Ressano Garcia, the country's busiest border crossing with South Africa. At kilometer 4, locals stopped truck drivers, lining the road with vehicles so as not to allow them to enter or leave.

According to videos circulating on social media, the border is not closed, but hardly anyone is making the move.

The action is the result of demonstrations called for this Monday (04) by the Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique (PODEMOS), which supports the presidential candidacy of Venâncio Mondlane, in protest at the results announced for the general elections on October 9.
